Overview

This new middle school was part of the overall master plan of three new adjoining schools sites consisting of a new high school, middle school and elementary school. This school sites adjoins the new Shadow Hills High School. Through project coordination and constructability reviews with the design professionals, the project budgets were met upon the initial bidding of the project. 

Cost control measures were implemented throughout the course of construction which resulted in a net overall deductive change order rate of (-1.55%).

Overview

Phased construction of a new middle school on a 20 acre site using the CM Multi-Prime delivery method. Construction type consisted of wood framed buildings with structural steel and standing seam roofs. 

Phase one of construction consisted of seven buildings inclusive of administration / library / kitchen / multipurpose building, 5 typical classroom buildings, science building, restroom/locker room, restroom building and lunch shelter. The project had extensive commissioning requirements and obtained a formal CHIPS certification.

Overview

Located on a 17.6 acre site, Rialto Middle School was one of two projects being completed at the time. The school program consists of a multipurpose/ kitchen, administration, library, science labs, two-story classroom complex, interim support facilities, lunch shelter, and a future gymnasium.

This campus was designed as a 9th Grade Campus/Middle School. The supporting facilities, such as science labs, gymnasium, library, sports fields, parking and staff resources are sized to accommodate the use of this campus as a small high school if the demography so dictates.
